Last year’s Christmas tasting at Toast in East Dulwich was one of our favourite of the year and on Tuesday December 2nd we are heading back to do it all again.

The format is a little like a mini wine fair, with tables set up all over the restaurant with suppliers squeezed into each and every nook and crany, it is a little crazy and lots of fun. This year we will be joined by our friends Raef of Gergovie Wines, John from The Winemakers Club along with the guys from the restaurant, so there promises to be plenty of good wine flowing.

The focus is on wines that suit the festive season, so we’ll be pouring the sorts of things that we like to drink at this time of year. There will be Mauro Vergano’s Americano, some squeeky-clean fizz from Quarticello, skin contact wines from Nino Barraco and Cantina Giardino, the delicate mountain Nebbiolo of Ar.Pe.Pe, big boy Barbaresco from Olek and plenty more.

Tickets are £20 and can be purchased by calling the restaurant on 0208 693 9021. We would highly recommend booking a table for dinner afterwards as Michael Hazelwood’s food is some of the best in town.
