On Monday 31st of March we welcome Gianmarco Antonuzzi of Le Coste to 107 on Lower Clapton Road for a special vertical tasting.
The wines Gianmarco and Clementine craft from their picturesque vineyards planted over the volcanic soils that surround Lago di Bolsena are amongst the most distinctive in all of Italy and possess a wonderful capacity to age.
On the evening Gianmarco will be presenting a three-vintage vertical of their iconic Bianco R and Rosso R from the 2019, 2017 and 2012 vintages, explaining the nuances behind each.
The tasting will start at 6 pm and is priced at £45, which includes a glass of Pizzicante Rosato and a taste of each of the six wines.
Tickets can be booked by emailing the bar and are strictly limited.
If you can’t make the tasting, or fancy hanging around, from 7:30 pm the bar will be open to all, with a large number of Le Coste wines available by the glass and bottle to enjoy in at retail prices.
Alongside there will be cheese, salumi, a big pot of braised lamb, and steaming bowls of Gradoli beans topped with spring greens and a good glug of Le Coste olive oil.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be a fascinating tasting.
