An Evening Celebrating the Loire

On Monday 2nd of October we will be hosting a special dinner at Brawn celebrating the food and wine of one of our favourite regions, the Loire.

Last year’s version of this event was one of the highlights of our calendar and with the days getting a little shorter and temperatures dropping, we couldn’t resist the urge to do it all one more time. This year we will be proceeding without the vignerons, who are deep in the midst of harvest, but we’ll be digging deep into our cellar and sharing wines young and old from bottles big and small.

Few are better versed in the Loire’s robust cuisine than Brawn’s chef Ed Wilson, who for several years ran the Green Man & French Horn, a brilliant bistro which championed the cuisine you find in the valley of France’s longest river, along with the region’s wonderful wines.

On the night, expect all the classics, from pristine oysters and shellfish, to rillettes and rillons, partridge, wild mushrooms, mouclade and more. There will be plenty of Ed’s legendary beurre blanc, all manner of chèvre, and tarte vigneronne to finish.

The à la carte menu will be available throughout the evening, with wines available by the glass, bottle and magnum.

Tables are available from 6pm and can be booked via Brawn’s website

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a beautiful night and for those in the West, please stay tuned for details of another dinner celebrating the region at the wonderful Landrace in Bath.
