An Evening in the Beaujolais at Jolene

On Monday 18th of November we will host an evening at Jolene Newington Green celebrating one of our favourite wine regions, the Beaujolais.

The à la carte menu for the evening will draw heavily from the hearty fare found in local bistros and the nearby bouchons of Lyon. Think cervelle de canut, rosette de lyon, celeriac and apple remoulade, salade lyonnaise, quenelles in shellfish sauce, steak frites and much, much more. There will be cheese, of course, and classics like baba au rhum for dessert.

Nothing makes as much sense alongside robust cooking like this as a glass or two of Gamay and we have assembled a list of wines young and old from each of our growers in the region, including Benoit Camus, Christian Ducroux and Romuald Valot, along with some special older vintages from the late, great, Julie Balagny.

Tables are available from 5pm and can be booked via Jolene’s Open Table

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a brilliant evening.
