| We’ve just received a pair of beautiful Beaujolais from a new project between Frédéric Cossard and his friend Damien Coquelet named Les En Hauts. Fred and Damien have been friends for over twenty years and the two share a great passion for the wines of Beaujolais. Having collaborated on several cuvées in the past, the project is a meeting of minds designed to produce original expressions of some of the region’s great terroirs. The two pick grapes from Damien’s best parcels in the region and vinify them as Fred would his Pinot Noir, with gentle infusions of whole bunches and fermentation and élevage in concrete eggs. Predictably, the wines are brilliant but sadly they are only made in small quantities. We are very happy to have a small amount of two special wines from last year’s harvest.
