On Sunday 24th of March we will return to Jolene in Hornsey for an event celebrating the arrival of our favourite season, spring.
Rather than focussing on a particular dish, this iteration will herald the beginning of the season and some of the wonderful ingredients that begin to appear on the continent at this time of year.
Jolene’s departing chef Izzy Wallace-Hadrill will be joined in the kitchen by new head chef Sam Hall, who was last seen at the wonderful Bright. The two have penned a beautiful menu of things you’ll want to eat including panelle with wild garlic and parmesan, asparagus with lardo and drangoncello, lasagna primavera, cuttlefish with chickpeas and three-cornered leek, and braised hogget. There will be ricotta crostata and rhubarb gelato for dessert.
To wash it all down, we will be pouring pretty and perfumed wines to herald the change of season from the likes of Ajola, Cantina Giardino, Farnea, Guttarolo and Jacopo Stigliano. Many of the wines will be available by-the-glass, poured from bottles big and small.
Tables are available from 6pm and can booked via the restaurant’s OpenTable
We’d recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
We hope you can join us to celebrate the arrival of spring.
