New from Benoit Rosenberger

Over the past few years, Benoit Rosenberger has established himself as one of the most talented vignerons in the Auvergne.

Benoit farms three hectares of Gamay d’Auvergne spread out across a handful of small parcels in the rolling hills that surround the village of Saint-Maurice-ès-Allier. Here, the old vines are planted over a fascinating mix of basalt, granite and quartz, making for lithe, fragrant wines that shimmer with life.

This latest release features the 2022 vintage of his iconic Gamay d’Auvergne, this time under the moniker of Reloup des Vignes, as well as the evocatively named Solerat de Cave—a canny blend of wines from the 2018, 2020 and 2022 harvests.

Amongst the madness of the Loire Valley’s salons earlier this year, drinking a couple of bottles of these wines with Benoit outside in the sunshine offered a rare moment of respite. Not only were they amongst the most delicious wines we tasted that weekend, they also represent some of his best work to date.

Benoit’s wines are available on Tutto a Casa with a limit of one bottle of each cuvée per customer.
