After a long absence from our shores, we are thrilled to be able to offer three new releases from one of our most iconic producers, Serragghia.
The island of Pantelleria is a wild and windswept place which belongs to Sicily, but in reality is much closer to Africa. At the foot of an ancient volcano, the Binis’ farm occupies a dreamlike landscape with several dammusi and a series of ancient terraces, home to caper bushes, citrus groves and old bush vines.
Found at one of the island’s highest points, it is cooled by a constant breeze, which keeps temperatures surprisingly moderate even in the height of summer, whilst the proximity to the sea and volcanic soils lend the wines a vibrant, luminous quality. It is a place of raw beauty and rare energy, captured so evocatively in these wines.
