After a long rest in our cellars, it is time to share a couple of new wines from Anders Frederik Steen and Anne Bruun Blauert.
Today we are offering two vintages of Les Vignes des Enfants, a wine made from the rare Petite Sirah grown in their vineyards in Valgrand. A secluded spot some three hundred metres above sea level, the vines are surrounded by bush and planted over blue marl. From two warm, dry vintages these are very much southern in style – deep, savoury and rustic, they can be enjoyed now alongside some suitably robust cooking, but will certainly reward those who wait.
