As we welcome the return of some much needed sunshine, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the coastal wines of Nino Barraco.
Nino has been instrumental in rewriting the story of wine in Marsala. From the outset he has done things differently, working organically, focussing on the native grapes of his Western Sicily and producing single vineyard wines in the hope of showing the region’s true potential. Today he farms a total of twenty hectares of vines spread amongst small parcels along the coast by Marsala, farming organically with the utmost respect for nature.
Nino’s wines possess an uncanny sense of place. Salty, sunkissed and radiant, they make so much sense in these warmer months, preferably enjoyed outside alongside some pristine seafood and your favourite summer vegetables. This latest release includes a restock of the wonderful table wine, Fior di Bianco, his classic trio of whites and a brand new rosato that could not be more suited to the season.
