On Sunday 17th March we welcome Antonio and Daniela of Cantina Giardino to Manchester for a special lunch at Higher Ground.
Antonio and Daniela’s beautiful old vineyards can be found in the hills of Campania. Since 2003 they have championed the region’s native grape varieties and an old fashioned way of tending them. In Italy they were amongst a handful of pioneers who paved the way for the making of wines with no additions, inspiring many others to join them in producing vivid expressions of grape and place.
They produce a dizzying number of cuvées which cover many styles and the lunch will provide an opportunity to explore the breadth of their work. A large number of wines will be available from bottle, magnum and jeroboam and we’ll also be pouring the lambic beers they produce in collaboration with the legendary Brasserie Cantillon, with Antonio and Daniela on hand to share their story.
The menu is priced at £55 per person and will be served as a feast to allow these special wines to take centre stage.
Tables are available from 1pm until 3pm via Tock
Higher Ground isn’t usually open on Sundays and we have a feeling this one is going to sell out fast, so please reserve your seats and get ready to enjoy a little of Campania’s sunshine.
