After a lengthy absence from our shores, the midst of a heatwave seems just the right time to welcome back the energetic wines of Marco Buratti’s Farnea.
Situated in a particularly beautiful part of the Veneto’s Colli Euganei, Marco farms a few hectares of vines planted with many different varieties, working organically with a real respect for nature. Here he also grows vegetables and raises livestock, eking out a simple life from the land. The region’s volcanic soils lend his wines a pure, nourishing quality, whilst his work in the cellar focusses on harnessing the energy they bring.
Fruit forward, perfumed and vibrant, these are the kind of elevated vins de soif we find ourselves reaching for time and time again when the sun is shining.
