Gewürztraminer from a parcel of twenty five year old vines planted over clay and limestone in Obernai, fermented as whole bunches for ten days before being pressed off to a mix of barrels and vats for nine months of rest. From a cooler year, the aromas of rose, zest and spice are a little more restrained than usual, whilst a pleasant bitterness brings refreshment in spades.
