Gewurztraminer from a parcel of twenty five year old vines planted over clay and limestone in Obernai, fermented as whole bunches for a week before being pressed off to barrels for a short élevage. This is a wonderful example of how suited this variety is to maceration, with neat tannins and a clean salty finish framing complex flavours of citrus, minerals and spice.
