This bottling is from the last two barrels of Pinot Gris from this vintage. Grown by the Bannwarth family in Obermorschwihr, the grapes were picked late, pressed directly and moved to barrels the following spring, where they rested, untouched for over a decade. The result is a wine of seemingly eternal youth and kaleidoscopic complexity, which walks a tightrope balance of citrus, salt, minerals and spice.
