Romuald Valot

Beaujeu, Beaujolais

After a year’s hiatus, we are thrilled to welcome this highly original take on Beaujolais Blanc back to Romuald’s stable. Chardonnay from a parcel of old vines planted over granite at over five hundred metres above sea level in Beaujeu, fermented as whole bunches for a fortnight, before a rest in old barrique. A hazy shade of apricot in the glass, it draws you in with soaring aromas of quince and warm spice, whilst the palate offers just the right amount of pith and tannin to temper the riot of fruit on display.
