A remarkable Gewürztraminer from a half hectare parcel of forty year old vines planted over sandy, alluvial soils in Ammerschwihr. The fruit was fermented as whole bunches for a fortnight before being pressed off to vats for a short élevage. A gorgeous shade of sunset in the glass, this draws you in with heady scents of rose and bergamot. The fruit and flowers are framed by tea-like tannins and a pleasant bitterness that lends refreshment and intrigue.
