From a gorgeous parcel of forty five year old vines surrounded by forest high in the hills above the village, which faces north, lending the wine great freshness. Mostly Auxerrois, with a little Gewürztraminer in the mix, the grapes were pressed directly and aged in old foudres and earthenware jars. Perfumed gently with rose, smoke and spice, this is a wine of great energy and gorgeous texture, with a long salty finish adding plenty of intrigue.
