When done right, Viognier can produce some wonderful wines and this version, from a long, slow press of old vine fruit from their friends Gerard and Jocelyn Oustric, aged for a year in old barriques, shows the grape at its very best. With lifted aromas of stone fruits, white flowers and lime, this is wonderfully textured on the palate, with a hint of tannin and chalky minerals providing no shortage of complexity.
