Pinot Noir from a sixty year old vineyard planted over a thick vein of limestone in the lieu-dit of ‘Les Plantes aux Bois’ in the Côte de Nuits’ Comblanchien. After a month of maceration as whole bunches, the grapes were pressed slowly over several days to old barrels for two years of élevage. Despite the warmth of the vintage, Olivier has harnessed the site’s pedigree beautifully here, producing a powerful wine of impeccable balance and real finesse.
