Chardonnay from a sixty year old parcel planted over limestone in Viré-Clessé. The grapes were pressed directly and left to rest in foudres for a year. From a cooler vintage, this pours a hazy straw yellow in the glass and hums with heady notes of citrus, stones and acid. A wine of raw energy, it possesses the kind of power and drive that suggest a long life ahead.
