What a joy it was to learn there were a few more magnums of this wonderful wine resting in the family’s cave. A gorgeous expression of old vines Aunis, the grapes were fermented on skins as whole bunches for three weeks before fifteen months of elévage in old barriques and time has rendered a wine of real harmony. Displaying a tightrope balance of fruit, flowers and spice, it makes for a memorable bottle to share amongst friends.
