This maceration of Grolleau Gris comes from a thirty year old vineyard planted over clay and limestone. The grapes were fermented as whole bunches for a fortnight, before being pressed off to cuve until the following spring. Reflecting the vintage this is offers an increase in intensity compared to last year’s release, pouring a hazy, sunset-pink in the glass and offering autumnal scents of warm quince, blood orange and spice. A wine that occupies that beautiful space between rosé and rouge.
