Gamay from old vines over weathered granite, basalt and schist from Romuald’s holdings in both Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly, this was harvested early to preserve freshness in this warm vintage. A brilliant, gleaming ruby in the glass, there is a hint of reduction on opening but air reveals a compact, elegant wine that combines brambly fruits with an intensely stony, mineral quality. A gorgeous expression of two of our favourite crus.
