A remarkable expression of mature Aglianico released after a decade of ageing. This comes from a parcel in Montemarano, the spiritual home of the grape, where the vines are over one hundred years of age. The grapes spent two months on skins, followed by five years resting in old casks and a further five years in bottle before release. Impossibly deep, this is just reaching the peak of its powers, as complex tertiary notes emerge amongst layers of dark fruit, smoke and spice.
