Marsala, Sicilia



From Nino’s youngest vines of Nero d’Avola planted over sandy soils. The grapes are picked early, meaning the acid is high and alcohol low. It spent just a night on skins and rested in concrete until April, when it was bottled without any additions. This is the most incredible shade of raspberry and extremely light on its feet, with bright, tart fruit that screams for a plate of anchovies or some grilled sardines.
