From the same parcel of thirty year old vines of Sangiovese as the ‘Rosso’, this spent a fortnight on skins, followed by eight months resting in chestnut casks. As one might expect it is a little more complex, with a savoury, balsamic note that adds real intrigue. A wine that could not be more suited to cool evenings enjoying whatever cut is coming off the grill.
