Marco’s Birbo (the “rascal”) is a blend of Malvasia and Tocai. Fermented and aged in concrete vats, ten days on skins lends a little flesh and grip. This is fragrant and fruit forward, by no means the most complex wine in the world, but all the better for it. It’s one of the few wines you could genuinely drink all day long.
