Laureano was one of the original founders of the Brutal label and this captures its spirit beautifully. A blend of Carignan and Grenache Gris from various parcels, young and old, planted over clay and limestone between 470-510 metres above sea level. The grapes were destemmed and fermented on the skins for eleven days. The free run juice was then moved to terracotta amphorae for for nine months. Whilst this is a deeper, darker wine in the glass, there is no shortage of energy on display, its plush fruit offering heady notes of blackcurrant, iron and bitter herbs.
