An old parcel of Carignan from vines planted over clay and limestone. The grapes were picked right at the end of harvest, destemmed and fermented on the skins for two months, before being pressed off to glass demijohns for two years of élevage. Dark and brooding, this is wonderfully well put together, with neat tannins, sunkissed fruit, herbs and brine combining to wonderful effect.
