Gewürztraminer from vines up to fifty years old planted over clay and limestone in Obernai. The grapes were fermented as whole bunches for a week, before being pressed to a hundred year old cask for elévage. A gorgeous, hazy shade of pink in the glass, aromatically this is as delicate and nuanced an expression of the variety as you will find. Taut and streamlined, the palate follows suit, with delicate flavours of rose, zest and spice combining to brilliant effect.
