Côtes du Jura Poulsard Les Chazaux


This wonderful expression of Poulsard comes from a half hectare parcel of forty five year old vines planted over red and pink marl in the hills of Augea. The majority of the grapes were destemmed with a small percentage of whole bunches in the mix. After a fortnight of maceration, the wine was pressed to finish fermentation in cuve before being moved to old barrels for a year of rest, rendering as filigree and fine an expression of the grape as you’ll find.
