Vallon Pont d'Arc, Ardèche

Marsanne from twenty five year old vines over clay and limestone. Here the grapes were destemmed and macerated on the skins for ten days, before being pressed to rest in large old casks until the following spring. Deep amber in the glass, here gentle tannins frame notes of warm citrus, earth and spice, making for a deeply savoury, contemplative expression of the grape.
