Terra Alta, Catalunya



Garnacha from twenty year old vines planted over limestone in El Pinell de Brai. This was destemmed, fermented on the skins for a week and then aged for six months in vat. Pale red in the glass, it immediately draws you in with Mediterranean flavours of cherry, bitter herbs and gentle spice. Fruity, soft and supple on the palate, it is drinking beautifully now and would be wonderful alongside a nice rabbit stew.
