Grenache from a forty year old parcel planted over clay and limestone in Bourdic. The grapes were harvested in two passages, with the first parcel, planted over limestone, partly direct-pressed and partly macerated for a couple of days. A week later the grapes planted over clay were picked and macerated for a further week. After pressing, the wine was assembled into a large acacia cask for a year of élevage. Heady with sunkissed berries, herbs and stones, this is a wine with a beautiful sense of place.
