Gewürztraminer from a half-hectare parcel of forty year old vines planted over sandy, alluvial soils in Ammerschwihr. The fruit was fermented as whole bunches for two weeks, before being pressed off to vats for a year of élevage. A gorgeous shade of sunset in the glass, this draws you in with gentle scents of rose and bergamot. The fruit and flowers are framed by tea-like tannins and a pleasant bitterness that lends refreshment and intrigue.
