From the highest and rockiest part of Nico’s vineyards planted over marl on the slopes of L’Étoile in 1953. The grapes were pressed directly and aged in a combination of old barriques and demi-muids for two years. There is a wonderful depth and density to the fruit here, which wraps itself around a mineral core. A wine that unfurls wonderfully in the glass and will reward drinkers for many years to come.
